Tao te Ching (The Book of the Way and Its Virtue) to
“He who knows he has enough is rich.”
from a kind man Chet Day, he emails me a “rich thought” each week.
This week ends my current term of HD in Charlottesville, it does not mean that my job
is over, it is just my remaining summer months are mine to do with what I please.
I can go where I want and visit whom I please. I plan on driving home to be with my
family. The only family I have; is my parents, one brother and one sister and her two
children. I have a few cousins spread out around the USA, but I never see them, but
I try and maintain contact with some of them by email.
As I sit here this morning, my present state of feeling is rather disconcerting. I am not
depressed, but I am not energized. I have an uneasiness, that I ask God in prayer to remove.
I don’t feel very inspired, and I don’t feel creative. I sit here at the keyboard going through
the motions, for I have been told that to move to a better spot (feelings) is to “act as if”.
I like the quote that I received this morning from Mr. Chet Day, he sends this nice
email to me each week, and it always has a calmness that I love. He is a gift.
He sends gifts to many of us and he never ask for anything in return. There are many
out there in the world doing things such as this. They act from a deeper awareness of the
world. I gratefully acknowledge and accept this touch from God.
My morning has a richness to it, in spite of my own dis-comfort. There is something that I want to
share with you, because your deserve it….
this flower was sitting on one of the park tables this week, as I walked by I noticed how beautiful it was and wanted to take it home. I knew that is would not last long and so I gave it immortality. (maybe?) I wish to believe that this photo will do that, certainly it will be here longer than if I had chosen to greedily grab it up and try to hold on to it, knowing that it would last maybe a few hours at best.
I was out at Whole Foods this week too, here is a nice shot, this man made me smile….
Here is another photo of some of his flowers for sale, (which I have for free now) thanks to my trusty camera….
there is a beauty in retail garden space, which expresses a genuine generosity. I love this type of outdoor display it give out a freshness, sometimes it feels like going to the botanical gardens. ( I have a keen imagination) I wanted to sneak back into the store and take a picture of some of their long stem roses, oh well, maybe next time.
It is as easy to create a castle, as a button. It’s just a matter of whether you’re focused on a castle or a button.

All Is Well
I pray that you are creating castles in your day, I pray for your spirit to rise and smile upon your images, allowing the beauty that surrounds you in this garden of paradise to cover you in serenity, peace and love. This I pray for you!
